This can be a tricky time of year for our poor skin with it often looking dry, dull and generally in need of some love.
If you can identify, here are some of my top tips to bring back your glow.
Rethink your cleanser
How are you currently cleansing your face?
Does your soap or face wash leave your skin feeling tight afterwards?
If it does, chances are the cleanser is too harsh and it's stripping all the natural oils, leaving your skin dry and dull. So, my top tip is to try using a balm cleanser instead.
It might take little getting used to if you're a fan of a lathering face wash but it is so worth persevering. Balm cleansers are super effective at removing dirt and make up with the bonus of hydrating your skin at the same time!
How to use: massage a small amount of cleanser into dry or damp skin, then remove with a warm cloth / flannel - it's that easy! plus you get a gentle exfoliation every day from the cloth.

Learn to love oils
Facial oils are key to keeping a hydrated and healthy complexion and my favourite, Rosehip oil, is an absolute godsend for dry and dehydrated skin. Packed with Vitamin A, it encourages cell regeneration and collagen production giving you firmer and more youthful looking skin. It's also deeply nourishing and protective for weathered skin.
How to use: massage a few drops of gorgeously rich rosehip oil directly into clean skin, either underneath or instead of your regular moisturiser.

DIY facial massage
Try getting into the habit of giving yourself a quick facial massage every evening (or even once a week if every day is too ambitious), it will do wonders for your skin
Need a quick fix?
To give your skin an instant boost and a head start in your new regime, book yourself a facial treatment. I recommend a seasonal facial every 3 months as a minimum to maintain healthy looking skin. The outer layers of skin renew approximately every 28 days so for optimum long term skin health, every 4-6 weeks is ideal.
